My name is Parusha Naidoo. I was born in Durban, South Africa. I am African with South Asian roots and call myself Afro-Asian.<\/p>\n

I live in Cape Town creating images and stories that unify people across different cultures and share memories, lesser known stories and sometimes recipes from the Global South.<\/p>\n

In December 2021 created a digital cookbook called Least Effort Most Reward<\/a> which contains 21 illustrated Afro-Asian Plant Based recipes. My work has been featured in publications including New Frame, House & Leisure\u2019s Lookbook and Lemon Journal, Koe\u2019sister magazine, Woolworth\u2019s Taste magazine, Daily Maverick and Daily Voice.<\/p>\n

At the moment I am working on paintings with the theme “Looking in the direction of blessings” inspired by happy childhood memories<\/p>\n

The goal of my work is to bring joy and ignite curiosity in others while sharing art, stories and recipes that are undervalued, overlooked or unknown in the mainstream.<\/p>\n
